An Introduction: Trenton D. McClellan

Trenton D. McClellan known by family as Baba, born October 17th, 1989 in North St. Louis, Missouri at Jewish Hospital has grown to become a musician who is a student to all aspects of music. Growing up between North City and Jennings, MO caused a love for using music to help people become better and still represent an essence of who they want to be. First encountering music in fourth grade concert band learning to play saxophone, Trenton then found his love for music. As he grew his talents followed suit. Once just a saxophonist, he started crate diving through records and 45's in his family's music collection learning about blues and jazz spawning lessons in drums and other various instruments. Hanging with his older sister and older cousins, Trenton who was once sheltered from hip hop started to learn about the rap culture. By age 16, he started to influence his high school band to play hip hop songs such as "Hey Ya!" by Outkast as well as rock music such as "Bohemian Rhapsody". Shortly after he started to produce music as a hobby with neighborhood friends including forming a rap group. The group disbanded and went separate ways to individual lifestyles all still remaining friends. Trenton found himself at University Missouri Rolla, where he began to produce more music and taking a more forefront approach rapping on his own productions going by the alias Rugz Lennox. Faced with many pressures Trenton found himself back home in St. Louis, never going back to University of Rolla, to pursue a career as a music producer traveling the country in search of artists to work with. Having no luck ,Trenton then went back to rapping on his own productions forming another collective group called Treefr but was as well not as successful as hoped. Trenton, then discouraged stepped away from music working various jobs in search of something he could love more than music. In his searches somehow he always ended back producing music. As Trenton started to mature he dropped the alias of Rugz Lennox and started going by the nickname Baba which family already knew him by. Still being a student to music Trenton ( Baba) started learning guitar and bass incorporating both in his most recent productions. Looking at the realities of St. Louis, Trenton started to make more uplifting music more geared towards bringing people to a more spiritual style of living. Trenton more focused than ever Is still producing with plans of finally dropping a well awaited and deserved studio album under his own independently owned music and arts label, Certi5ed Victories as Baba 432. (432 is a number derived from the musical frequency to heal and work miracles)
